New SD law not good for those selling abortions

We finally got a few sound bites directly from the propaganda department of Planned Parenthood regarding Senate Bill 92 which would give SD women access to their abortion doctors. At present, women in our state do not have ANY opportunity to consult with an abortion doctor prior to the moment the consent forms are already signed and their feet are in the stirrups. It's shocking that those who sell abortions in our state under the facade of being a legitimate health care provider don't even come close to meeting the standard medical practices that accompany any other medical procedure.

The first words out of the propaganda department of Planned Parenthood on SB 92 come from Kathy Smith, media relations director for Planned Parenthood of Minnesota and the Dakotas… "It clearly would have a huge impact on us."

It's a shame that they are still thinking first about their business, their bottom line and how to sell as many abortions as possible. No thought to those the abortion effects and what's best for abortion-bound women. Here's what's best… that women in our state have access to a doctor prior to the abortion.

She also said "this is not going to prevent one abortion." Really??? Is there not ever a case where their "doctors" talk with a woman and it's decided that an abortion is not the best thing for her?? I think she knows more information means fewer go through with the abortion and we all know they are not in the business of fewer abortions. Their goal is that every woman would have multiple abortions in their reproductive life time.

Hopefully, SD lawmakers like Tom Dempster will start looking beyond what those who are politicalizing this (and profiting from this) are saying and instead consider what is in the best interests of the women in the state. As is, the order of importance is 1) Planned Parenthood's bottom line  2) the abortion doctors being able to get some easy, quick, fly in/fly out extra cash  3) How to keep what really happens (and doesn't happen) with regard to a SD abortion from being common knowledge in our state. 4) To keep abortion practices unregulated and 5) tell abortion-bound women whatever it takes to get them to sign a consent form and back out the door as quick as possible.

SB 92 puts what's best for a woman in a crisis pregnancy first.

Has Dempster always voted pro-choice? I voted for him not realizing this!

Dempster is pro choice, always has been. He knows his talking points, just like Jersted, and will say how much he hates abortion, all the while voting against every piece of pro life legislation before him.
