Only a wicked, despicable monster would do this

This story needs to be read by everyone who is still in a state of delusion that the abortion industry is anything more than a wicked and despicable monster. And this sad story is precisely why the abortion cartel needs every legislative restraint possible placed upon it. We shouldn't need laws like Senate Bill 92 in South Dakota, but because this industry falls so far short of minumum standards of medical practice, SB 92 is the least we can do to ensure women and children in our state aren't exploited and abused for profit.

I'll summarize - a Detriot abortion clinic chain operating under the painfully deceptive name WOMENCARE, INC is caught shredding abortion records, dumping bodies in the trash, and it's been documented that at least four women have died there. But in just one case, a 16 year old impregnanted by her 39 year old teacher (statutory rape any way you slice it) was taken to this clinic having been told by her mother and also the rapist that she was getting an exam. She expressly said she did not want an abortion. Her rapist apparently signed for her, she was told NOTHING about the procedure, when the vaccum was turned on and she felt excruciating pain she figured out what was going on, tried to get up and was pushed back on the table. Of course the clinic did not report the rape, they aborted the evidence, they destroyed the girls life and sent her back for several more years of sexual abuse. And all in the name of WOMENCARE.

Where is the outrage from the feminist community for this girl? Do the Pastors for IMMORAL Choices have nothing to say?

These are NOT health care facilities and this is NOT medicine. There are NO CHOICES given. It's so NOT about the women. I'm filing this post under Child Abuse Inc. which is a more fitting corporate term for the criminality that lies behind the respectability facade. Where's the "REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE" for this gal?? Certainly not in the courts.

Since we were on the subject these last couple days, here's another little tucked away verse on abortion that came to mind reading this sad story.  It's from Amos 1:13 and 2:6-7 - "This is what the Lord says: 'For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead..."  (why was ripping open pregnant women worse to God than killing anyone else and how does that relate to abortion) "For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. They sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals (the devaluation of human life for profit, the poor not worth as much as the rich, some not even considered "humans" are worth nothing and discarded). They tramble the heads of the poor as dust upon the ground (targeting low income communities) and deny justice to the oppressed. Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name (sex crimes and abuse allowed to continue)."

And what will be your first, best protection against coerced abortions in the future? The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) which will guarantee and protect on the Federal level the right to have a child.

If you're against coerced abortions, write your Senators and tell them to pass FOCA!

"(a) Statement of Policy- It is the policy of the United States that every woman has the fundamental right to choose to bear a child, …"–FOCA.

Steve @ 4:56 pm

SoMG - No. FOCA does nothing to protect against forced abortion. Nothing. In fact, it will make this more common place as the laws will all lift off this abomination we call legal abortion. And you, and others who support it, can pat yourselves on the back for supporting child abuse, rape and murder.

I'll have everyone know I exercised full restraint in responding to this comment. If it was my daughter who this happened to I know my response to this person would not have been so tempered. To read a post like this and respond with a comment calling for all legislative restraints nationwide on abortion to be lifted is to laugh at rape and child abuse.

Amen Steve -

That reply made me angry as well! If ignorance is bliss SoMG is the happiest person on the planet.

jl13 @ 9:55 pm

If you find a credible source for this story (I'm sorry, Operation Rescue seems just a tad biased here), then I, as a pro-choice woman, will join you in the outrage here.
True believers in reproductive justice believe in a woman's full reproductive rights, which, yes, includes the right TO bear a child. The way she was allegedly treated in that clinic is, if it's true, absolutely horrible. A clinic that doesn't put their clients first has no business in reproductive health care.

That said, I don't believe it is true. I've seen this nowhere but on pro-life propaganda websites. Find me objective coverage of this supposed story, and there's some common ground between you and the pro-choice community. We'd be 100% behind prosecution of such a case, and we'd be equally outraged…IF this is true.

Don't take this story as "proof" that pro-choicers hate women and want to take away their reproductive decisions. You're going to judge the pro-choice community anyway, that much is clear, but this story is NOT what believing in reproductive freedom is about.

Stephanie @ 10:44 pm

jl13,

Women do have choice, and I being a woman know this! We have the choice to have sex or not and to use protection or not!

How sad and horrifying. From my understanding abortion has not become safer or rarer. That poor child.

Steve @ 8:36 am

jl13,

Why is this lady's testimony, which is widely available in print and audio and video form not enough for you? Would a CNN story suddenly make it true for you? Do you not believe women when they say they were hurt? raped? All the proceedings on the prosecution of the wicked doctors malpractice and abuse (not in her case) are all public record, but not really a mainstream news story. Wonder why that is? Just because it's not PC and therefore not reported does that make it not true?

This story IS proof that we have a fully unaccountable cartel wanting to remove every other hint of an option from an abortion bound woman.

Do you question the credibility of reports and stats that come out of the Guttmacher Institute? Didn't think so. Remarkably it's the only source for abortion stats in America. And GI is still unofficially officially a Planned Parenthood organization. So the industry monitors itself and I'm sure you think what they crank out is credible.

Listen to the women hurt by abortion. Their stories will make you cry. I'm still waiting for the feminist outcry.

SoMG @ 10:13 am

Steve and Travis, don't take my word for it about FOCA. Go read the text and see for yourself, dummies!

Amy @ 11:41 am

SoMG:

Did you really just use the word "dummies?" Umm…

I don't really need to followup - you've pretty much defined yourself.

Travis @ 5:50 pm

SoMG -

Like I said you obviously have no understanding of what FOCA is! Ignorance is no excuse my friend. Try reading for comprehension.

oh, dear.

this woman's "story" is not enough for me because a post on Operation Rescue does not constitute "widely available."
and i'm sorry that i don't trust the word an organization that has thinly veiled their support for the murder of abortion providers. it would sadden me, but it wouldn't surprise me, to see them co-opt and twist this woman's story to meet their needs.

yes, seeing this story on CNN or the AP would make it more credible. a horror story from Operation Rescue, most likely completely fabricated, does not raise red flags for me. and yes, i do have a policy of believing victims of sexual assault. i've advocated for victims for years. i know victims and their stories, far more personally and intimately than any person should, so don't for a second think that i'm insensitive to victims. unless you've got a more credible source than operation rescue, i'm sorry, but this story just doesn't hold water.

Oh, and Stephanie:
i understand that you believe in abstinence. i respect that that's your choice. however, your statement really does not belong in a discussion about a potential rape victim. i know you understand that rape victims don't choose either to have sex or to not use protection.
