Hurt by abortion? Your story can save a life!

People Magazine reported yesterday that Kourtney Kardashian had an unplanned pregnancy, considered abortion, then after reading on-line testimonies of women hurt by abortion and in consultation with her doctor she decides to have the baby.

"I looked online, and I was sitting on the bed hysterically crying, reading these stories of people who felt so guilty from having an abortion," she recalls. "I was reading these things of how many people are traumatized by it afterwards. After scouring the Internet, Kardashian says she started to realize that an abortion wasn't an option for her. "I was just sitting there crying, thinking, 'I can't do that,' " she says. "And I felt in my body, this is meant to be. God does things for a reason, and I just felt like it was the right thing that was happening in my life."

Kardashian says she did some intense soul-searching. "For me, all the reasons why I wouldn't keep the baby were so selfish: It wasn't like I was raped, it's not like I'm 16. I'm 30 years old, I make my own money, I support myself, I can afford to have a baby. And I am with someone who I love, and have been with for a long time."…

"My doctor told me there is nothing you will ever regret about having the baby, but he was like, 'You may regret not having the baby.' And I was like: That is so true. And it just hit me. I got so excited, and when I told Scott he was so excited. But I think if I had said I'm not going to keep it, I really think he would have pushed me into keeping it…."

One might think everyone would be excited about this private decision this well-known woman made between her and her doctor and her God. Not so.  Read here for the full scoop on the hypocrisy in the pro-aborts reaction. Pro-aborts want to silence women hurt by abortion.

Ladies, if abortion hurt you, tell that story from the rooftops. You can be sure in a few years this little Kardashian baby will be very happy some gal shared her story his/her mom.

In fact, if you, or any woman you know in South Dakota, has had an abortion at the Sioux Falls Planned Parenthood since August 2008 and now regret that decision and wish you were given the kind of information Kardashian was given, please contact me. I'll help you find healing, if needed I'll pay for your counseling, and I'll share with you your right to legal redress

We probably won't hear anything on any of this from the gals over at Dakota Cold Hearts because they have been side-tracked for a few days explaining to us how the ELCA made a sound theological decision by voting to no longer disqualify clergy who are sexually active outside the covenant of marriage as defined by the Bible (one man, one woman, one life). I did note they went back in and edited out the hysterical statement they had up over the weekend about this decision having a sound theological basis. I love it when the godless pretend to be theologians. And they laugh at me for chiming in on legal matters!

Help me out here as my creative juices aren't flowing yet this morning… let's play fill in the blanks… Dakota Women pretending to be theologians is like……….

They, (or one of their beloved commenter’s), once said Jesus is okay with abortion because he doesn't want people to suffer in poverty. I wonder where they found that in the scripture.

I wonder what sanitized version of the Bible they read out of. WARNING: If you have the same copy they do, throw it away and get a REAL BIBLE.

As long as you don't try to portray your collected stories as a valid scientific study, go right ahead. But remember: the best science says there is no such thing as post-abortion syndrome:

Cory - how anti-woman of you to invalidate the stories of women who say they were hurt by abortion.

The best science? No, science indirectly funded by those who profit from abortion is skewed in the direction of denial of its consequences. Other studies show 30% of women are negatively affected. http://www.afterabortion.org/reasmor.html http://www.afterabortion.org/news/index.htm

Remember, these "scientists" you choose to believe are from the same ideological school that denies conception produces a human being. They are ideologically blind to real pain and suffering, as are you.

I enjoyed watching you earlier this summer rise up as the defender of women from the sexism of your liberal blogging friend. I can imagine it made you feel good, kind of manly. But you show your true colors here. And you illustrate to many you have no clue what many women go through following abortion. You have no clue Cory with regard to this topic, and no compassion. Sad.

Oh, the clever rhetorical parries. Try the latest science from Harvard: http://feministsforchoice.com/new-study-debunks-abortion-trauma-syndrome.htm

But yes, Harvard is funded by liberals, too.

I invalidate no personal stories. I can also find perfectly valid stories of people who were hurt by bicycles, insurance agents, and pastors. But those personal stories do not amount to a scientific case for general declarations and laws banning bicycling, private insurance, or preaching.

Steve @ 8:03 am

I've given enough in the 2 links above to illustrate the Harvard study isn't the only thing out there.

And really, do thinking people even need a study? This woman admits she was "sitting on the bed hysterically crying". If having a living child in you creates that level of emotional engagement, to think there is NO emotional fallout from the violent and irreversible removal of that child is idiocy. Any doctor who refuses to acknowledge that is withholding information in the best interest of his patient.

You do invalidate personal stories of women. Hundreds of thousands of them.

Bicycling, insurance agents and preaching don't hurt people. A scientific study on any of those would show that wreckless bicycling, greedy companies and abuses of power hurt people. Let's outlaw those things. And let's outlaw "medical" practices that kill and hurt people and let the real doctors save lives.

In light of the news of the hour, I thought I'd drop in a vintage quote from the Ted Kennedy.

August 3, 1971 Kennedy wrote:

"While the deep concern of a woman bearing an unwanted child merits consideration and sympathy, it is my personal feeling that the legalization of abortion on demand is not in accordance with the value which our civilization places on human life. Wanted or unwanted, I believe that human life, even at its earliest stages, has certain rights which must be recognized — the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grown old."

"When history looks back to this era it should recognize this generation as one which cared about human beings enough to halt the practice of war, to provide a decent living for every family and to fulfill its responsibility to its children from the very moment of conception."

[…] Mr. Hickey: Wow, Kourtney Kardashian decided not to abort her baby after hearing stories of women who were adversely affected by choosing to have abortions. […]
