Angie Buhl of Dakota Women fame running in District 15
With the nominating petition deadline being 5 p.m. today, the 2010 legislative races in South Dakota are really starting to take shape. I'm set to go in District 9. (It's on my to do list to change out the header on the blog here this week.)
Hat tip to Cory at Madville Times for alerting us to an interesting development in District 15 - Sioux Falls. Angie Buhl (D), is challenging incumbant Democratic State Senator Kathy Miles.
In mentioning her "pleasant" blogging, Cory conveniently tip-toed right around the part about how for a few years now Angie has overseen the nasty department over at Dakota Women. And so, who are we kidding, THIS (click here) is the reason she is challenging Senator Miles.
Cory says; "She'll be a great advocate for the rights of women and minorities (well, heck, for everybody!)..." BTW, "everybody" does NOT include anyone in utero. And frankly, I don't think you'll be able to find anyone more callous toward women who say abortion hurt them.
Maybe some of my readers can dig up a few uber-crass gems from Angie at Dakota Women that Senator Miles can use in the primary. No kidding, she comes right up when you search for phrases like "Suck it." I can see them now in yards all over District 15– loud pink campaign signs that say… Vote Buhl or go SUCK IT!. It'll take a little digging to find some other gems like her post on (Sy)Phyllis Heineman of District 13. I'm called Pastor Dickey and a variety of other things you'd expect from the second grade.
Cory also forgot to mention the little detail that Angie Buhl is also the development associate at NARAL South Dakota and in light of the recent development that the executive director of NARAL South Dakota, "Republican" Casey Murschel, is challenging Manny Steele (R) and Hal Wick (R) in the June Primary (District 12), it would appear that NARAL is trying to pick up some seats.
Angie is a regular reader here at Voices Carry. A couple years ago she commented on why she keeps coming back here even though she hates everything even remotely pro-life. Her response still makes me smile…
Perhaps the train wreck analogy is appropriate here…this blog is ugly and I don't *want* to see it, but I can't look away!
I take issue with her comment that this is an "ugly" blog and I still scratch my head at why they so hate South Dakota's Most Loving Blog!
Angie has called me out on bad math before, so I could be mistaken, but IF elected she falls just short of beating State Rep. Brock Greenfield's record of being the youngest person elected to the South Dakota legislature. Greenfield (also the former Right to Life state director) was born in October 1975 and began his first term in 2001. Buhl was born in January 1985. He beats her by nine months. Both she and Brock are Roe v. Wade survivors.

Literacy is fun. @ 1:36 pm
I'm pretty sure Angie (or anyone else, for that matter) has never claimed that she would be the youngest person elected, but the youngest WOMAN. I'm assuming Brock doesn't claim that title.

Tiptoe? I just kept the post short. But I'll be happy to stomp and square dance for her blog cred! Yahoo! I'd vote for every one of the Dakota Women for Legislature! If they get your goat, they must be good.

Actually, Angie hasn't worked for NARAL since 2008, so Madville Times didn't neglect to mention this "fact" that you seem so set on reporting.
