About Voices Carry

Voices Carry started in 2007 as a vehicle for Steve Hickey to give voice to the plight of the unborn. In February 2010, Steve announced he was running for the U.S. House of Representatives and at that time Voices Carry became a platform for him to discuss a variety of issues related to South Dakotan's.

Steve has been married to Kristen for twenty-one years (1988); together they are parents to Caleb (20), Thomas (17) and Kaitlyn (16). Steve is the founding pastor of Church at the Gate and GO KIDS! Daycare and Learning Center in Sioux Falls (1994, 2004), Sioux Falls Police Dept. and Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain (2001), he’s the current president of the Siouxland ministerial association, author of two books, past Cubmaster/Boy Scout Leader and small business entrepreneur.  Steve has studies and post-graduate degrees in political science/history and religion/divinity.
