Humane Society endorses Obama??

The irony and mockery really reaches a new height here. Jill Stanek just posted on the Humane Society now endorsing Obama. In a letter that shows Obama in front of the Lincoln Memorial holding a white poodle and another picture of Sarah Palin smiling over a dead moose, they write, "the Obama/Biden ticket is a better CHOICE on animal protection…"  Stanek writes;

First, I just have to say the photo of Obama holding a poodle - in front of Abraham Lincoln, no less - makes me want to puke. Second, all the legislators the Humane Society touts as pro-humane treatment of animals are radically anti-humane treatment of preborn humans - Obama, Boxer, Durbin, and Biden. In fact, all but Biden support partial birth abortion - internally manipulating late-term babies to the breech position, delivering them to the head, puncturing the nape of the neck, suctioning out the brains, and collapsing the skull to complete the delivery of a dead tortured baby. The disconnect is insane.

I'm mad at myself for the fact that I continue to be dumbfounded by these things. Are people that freakin idiotic that they don't see the disconnect here?? I guess so. These folks are from the same family of ideologues who think apes in Spain should should be given human rights because they are our evolutionary comrades. What about human rights for early forms of our own species??? God help us. Animal rights YES, human rights NO!  God's judgment can't be far off.  Mercy Lord, mercy on this nation!!

Unbelievable!!! That's all I can say.

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze me!

Wow, and to think I like to donate to them. Well, I guess my donations will now be going to Second Chance Rescue. Not impressed!

[…] And Pastor(?) DooHickey over at VoicesCrazy is up in arms. First off, Stevie, the Humane society is an organization that helps animals - not people. It has nothing to do with Planned Parenthood or Abortion. Secondly, unlike the crazies you run with, the Humane Society believes in birth control (they spay and neuter pets before they can be adopted) - ironically the best way to stop unwanted babies (puppies, kitties, etc.) is by not getting pregnant to begin with. What a concept? Huh? And lastly, someone who is anti-war is VERY MUCH, pro-life. (remember over 100,000 innocent (grown/born) children have been killed (or more) since the war in Iraq has begun. Something your candidate, John McCain, refuses to talk about. […]

So, let me get this right. By inference, the author of the above post is suggesting that everyone who has unprotected sex and doesn't want to have a baby should be spayed or neutered? Somehow, I think the ACLU may not exactly agree with that idea!

You'd be surprised at what the aclu agrees with, don't underestimate them.

South DaCola -

War is hell and should be avoided if possible. I have never seen anyone on this blog say that war is not a negative act, nor have I seen anyone happy that we are in a war that people are dying in.

Since you are Pro Life or Anti War or whatever you just tried to call yourself. I have to ask you this, how many (grown/born) people did Saddam Hussein kill? Do you justify his actions?

Here is a thought for you to ponder on Animal Birth Control.

I am sitting next to my dog, a pregnant Yellow Lab named Sophie, as she starts her labor process. I have some rags, a thin sharp hollow metal tube, a garbage bag, and a small vacuum. When the time draws near I attach the metal tube, which closely resembles a very large hypodermic needle, to the clear vacuum hose.

As Sophie starts delivering her puppies, I anxiously await for a head to become visible. When the puppy’s head starts to emerge, Sophie continues to push. I take my Large Needle and place it at the base of the puppy’s skull. I apply some pressure and the needle breaks through the skull and into her brain, then I turn the vacuum on.

I can see the puppy’s brain as pieces of it pass through the clear hose; it makes a slushy sucking noise, like that of the dentist’s suction tube. I know the process is complete when the puppies head collapses in on itself. As the thin bones break and the soft yellow flesh sinks into the empty cavity, it makes a very distinct sound, like a plastic bottle being crushed under a child’s foot.

The puppy is now, without a doubt, dead. I let Sophie finish delivering the newly dead puppy into one of my rags. I wrap her puppy up, and through it in the garbage sack, as she starts to deliver the next puppy.

I repeat the entire process, until the entire litter has been eliminated, and thrown in the trash. My job is now done; I have cleaned my tools and thrown the bag in the dumpster.

Now Sophie seems depressed. She continuously looks for her puppies, she longs to bring them close, clean them, and to nurse them. She aimlessly wanders the house then the yard sniffing, searching for signs of her lost litter.

The depression overwhelms her. She has trouble eating, sleeping is a tumultuous task, she yips and barks erratically, but her puppies are never found.

I wonder what the reaction would be if this was true. Do you think I would be arrested, chastised, or looked upon negatively? I bet I would! This is the same thing that happens with abortions that you support (on demand – no restrictions) only on a human (which the constitution is supposed to protect).

Mark @ 5:18 pm

Travis,
Well put. Got me thinking. If abortions are outlawed, Planned Parenthood does not need to go out of business. They can start doing puppy and kitty abortions. This would solve the unwanted pet overpopulation problem. Come to think of it, why aren't they doing it already? Oh, that's right, because the Humane Society supports Obama, and it would be cruel and unusual treatment of animals to put a dog or cat through and abortion. Do the pro-abortion folks see the hypocrisy of all this?!!!!!

Stephanie @ 8:28 pm

Travis,

Just to clarify something the Humane Society does not spay or neuter an animal before adopting it out. I, along with many other family and friends have adopted our pets from there and they do not do this. What they do is charge you say $70 adoptiong fee, then if you want to you can go have your animal fixed and they reimburse you $20 of your fee. Which is all great, but to fix an animal it cost a good $80 or more. Just though I'd help clarify the Humane Society's policy on what they will and will not do for an animal. On top of that the Humane Society will do very little due to little funding and staff. I adopted an abused dog who came to me with urine saturated fur, eye infections from all the urine, and a bladder infection. The Humane Society had her for almost seven days and did nothing to help treat this animal. If they cannot even give the animals a bath then why would they spend the time or money fixing them?
