Is Obama another Hitler? USD Forum says no
On Wednesday, a noon panel at the University of South Dakota tackled the question: Is Obama another Hitler? Two hundred people packed Farber Hall in Vermillion for the forum which was moderated by Benno Wymar, a retired USD economics professor. Wymar is a native German who moved to the United States in 1954.
"I was born in Germany in 1935, so I grew up under Hitler," Wymar said. "While Hitler was in power, 3 million Jewish people were butchered (in Germany). As a German, I had a tremendous guilt complex."
I hate to get technical, but the number is DOUBLE that - SIX million Jews. Maybe the reporter just heard him wrong. But I walked around the Dachau Concentration Camp this summer and thought much about how EACH life is sacred - these areN'T just large numbers… 3 million, 6 million, whatever. These were living human beings. Everyone with a name and face. And these were killed by demonic ideologies unchallenged because of ignorance and indifference.
Wymar doesn't see ANY similarity between Hitler and Obama and he did a good job of noting obvious black and white differences. I'm struck though at how fully oblivious he remains to the spirit that operates in both men of rebellion against God, self-exaltation and cold indifference to the plight of millions. The same demonic spirits that were operating in Germany in the 30's are entrenching here as we speak. Wymar has no discernment for this spiritual reality. The only parallel he was able to name between the US in recent years and Nazi Germany is here:
"When people were enthusiastic about attacking Iraq, I thought the American people were being manipulated like the German people were manipulated,” he said.
Really? The Obamania of a year ago didn't send up any alarms?
And here's one for you to discuss. About those who think Obama is Muslim (FYI I'm not one of them, but he's no Christian either) Wymar says; "If he was, what is wrong with being Muslim?” Wymar says religion doesn't matter and sites Kennedy's Catholicism as a comparison. Like Catholicism and Islam are just two peas in a pod. One religion preaches death to America. It's not the Catholic one in case you are wondering. Religion is absolutely relevant, in fact, it's ALL that really matters because it's the worldview from which one governs and it's the anchor that keeps one rooted. Those who say they are irreligious are even MORE religious than the rest of us. Somebody's worldview will shape the future, the only question remains is whose.
Apparently, and unfortunately, the panel did not discuss Obama's domestic and global leading role in exterminating millions of innocent human beings under the deceptive euphemisms of reproductive health and population control. Instead, the panels comparisons remained superficial such as this comment from Don Pryce, a retired USD history professor— Hitler "was abnormal in his ability to love " whereas Obama is "married to a woman of intellect, poise and charm, and they have two children."
This past weekend I made the point that we are living in Lobotomy Nation - Jesus said it would be this way at the end of the age - as in the days of Noah, people going about their daily business with absolutely no awareness or understanding of anything but good food and good times. Jesus told about the rich man who sought to build bigger barns for himself oblivious to the fact that this very night his life would be demanded of him. I said America is like that rich man, only thinking ahead about the economy, not perceiving we have a closing window of time to return to God. I spoke of Amos 4 where God dubs the Israelites the "cows of Bashan" because they were fat, lazy and incognizant to the fact that they are about to be hauled away on the meat hook. (The message was on how to obtain supernatural wisdom for life's ups and downs and my Lobotomy Nation comments were a bit of a tangent when I got talking about how many just seem to guzzle down the koolaid.)
At what point down the road do you think it'll be obvious to all where this all leads? When we move past experimenting on human embryos and start experimenting on the mentally ill? When the wave of death now devasting the unborn black shifts to America's elderly?
