Let's have FUN kicking off our Campaign to Kill
Those who profit from aborting South Dakota children have now unveiled 2008's version of "this law goes too far." Of course, "this law goes too far" won't work this time around because Initiative 11 is exactly what the voters of South Dakota wanted in '06 - exceptions for rape and incest. Planned Parenthood's well-funded propaganda machine has had a couple years to come up with their new slogan "LET FAMILIES DECIDE."
Obviously they are hoping to piggy back on the strong South Dakota value of less government involvement. I'm thinking South Dakotan's know the primary role of government is to protect human life. Interesting that these same liberals who now want the government out (so families can decide what is in their best interests) are the same people who want the government very involved when companies decide it's in their best interests to dump toxic waste in streams. These same liberals want the government to give a right to life to apes and orang-utans but deny unborn human beings that right. And of course they want the government to keep sending them hundreds of millions of our taxpayer dollars each year. I believe South Dakotan's will jump at the opportunity to shut down a "NON-PROFIT" cartel that reported ONE BILLION in revenues last year, $335 MILLION of which came from US taxpayers. (Makes the "legal fees" needed to defend Initiative 11 in court seem like chump change doesn't it?) South Dakotan's are smart enough to see it's a bit disingenuous that those telling us to keep government out, want to keep government money coming.
Those who leave hurting, post-abortive women to "get over it" have unveiled a new blog, StandUPSD, which today is promoting a photo contest so we can all have FUN at the expense of children and women.
Photo Contest - Get Creative! Hi all…. Here's a chance for you to all get your creative juices flowing, send a strong message AND support the NO on 11 cause. Get out your cameras… take a look around and snap of shot of whatever it is you think captures this statement: Let Families Decide. What does that mean to you? What does it look like? Use your imagination and send your photos to sstevens@ppmns.org! We'll be posting them on www.standupsd.com frequently.
I thought to submit this…

That's a good one! Send it in!

Also, what the heck is it with the "let families decide" slogan, when what abortion does is prevent a couple from becoming a family?
Not to mention they do NOT want families to decide. They don't want underage girls's parents involved. They don't want husbands involved. They want to isolate the woman from everybody — unless the person in question is pushing abortion.
They can't even come up with a single one-liner without lying through their teeth.

Excellent points Christina! We'll see if we can come up with another photo for their contest - LET FAMILIES DECIDE… UNLESS SHE'S UNDER AGE, THEN PARENTS SHOULDN'T EVEN BE NOTIFIED.
Or, LET FAMILIES DECIDE… YES TO PARENTAL NOTIFICATION
Or, LET FAMILIES DECIDE… BUT LET TAXPAYERS PAY

Here's a good "Let Families Decide" picture — Mom, Dad, and the 2.5 kids gathered around, Mom visibly pregnant, and they're showing the kids a flip chart. The page shows Choice A and Choice B. Choice A is a gurgling baby. Choice B is a dismembered fetus. Dad is saying, "Well, kids, how should we have this baby? Whole or in pieces?"

Wow. It seems like they're really grasping using this slogan.
I don't understand why they are whining about "big government" - apart from your really good points about Planned Parenthood loving the gov't money to the tune of 335 mil; they also gave $100,000 of gov't money to "unhealthy" families to help keep the killing legal - Initiated measure 11 purposely AVOIDED going through the lawmaking process in our "big" government out in Pierre and went straight to the families, who in November are going to decide to keep killing babies for convenience or let them live and become family members.
Disingenuous, indeed! I really do think South Dakotans are smarter than this. Did you notice how planned parenthood has wrestled away control of this thing and does not even try to go behind the facade of SD "unhealthy" families? Check out the sstevens email address, that's planned parenthood. I wonder how Jan and her crew feel about all this "help." Prolly dint bother em. Much.
The thing that I find the most irritating about this whole deal is that they are such hypocrites. Planned Parenthood is an nationwide, GIANT killing machine - oh, no wait! I am a GIANT (principalities, powers, rulers…) killing machine - anyway, they're a huge orifice of evil and they have the audacity to come in here and call government of, by and for the people a bad thing. "Under God the People Rule!"
South Dakota is running just the way we should be, thank you very much. You can go now.
