LIFE on the weekend
Today was Life Chain Sunday, 1000 cities participated. A few hours before the Life Chain in Sioux Falls, a couple busloads of out-of-state, anti-life college students were promoting abortion out on the corner of 41st and Louise. A decent rain drove them away, or maybe they didn't have a permit for a group that size and they got run off. Pretty good turnout for the Life Chain in Sioux Falls this year, most of those driving by showed support for life - honks, cheers, thumbs up, etc. Notably few showed scorn.
For Catholics it was also Respect Life Sunday. Not all are happy about that… Whaaaaa, was that a baby crying?
Other stuff you'll enjoy reading…
- The head of the LA chapter of National Organization for Women endorses Sarah Palin at a rally saying "this is what a real feminist looks like."
- Just down the road in Sioux City… a bus carrying Christian drama team from Michigan broke down in front of Planned Parenthood. 13 kids with disabilities were inside that bus. A 40 Days for Life vigil was taking place in front of Planned Parenthood at that time. One of the vigil participants asked the drama team to put on their play right there, right then. Read here about the kid with down syndrome playing Jesus on the cross. "The death of the innocent Lord and Savior — staged in front of Planned Parenthood, an organization responsible for ending hundreds of thousands of innocent lives every year; performed by special needs children, upon whom the abortion industry has declared open season — how powerful!"
