Look who likes McCain

Look who likes McCain! Actually, these endorsements mean little to nothing to me except for the humor and hypocrisy factor. It's about the Judges and the Supreme Court. God's blessing on our nation is directly tied to whether or not we continue to tolerate the shedding of innocent blood in our midst. For those unfamiliar with the Scripture - the Bible, and every law code in every civilized society for the last 4000 years distinguishes between the shedding of judicially innocent blood (murder, abortion, etc) and the shedding of judicially guilty blood (Capital Punishment) AND, the blood shed in Just War. (Whether or not this is a Just War is far outside the confines of the focus of this blog and can be debated elsewhere.) Nations that tolerate the shedding of judicially innocent blood (abortion) find the favor of God lifts off the land - economy, etc. Passages like this tie the issue of the shedding of innocent blood to both homeland security and the economy. That "we" care more about gas prices than the most vulnerable in our midst is quite revealing to the Author of Life. Conservatives are saying gas prices will go higher if Obama is elected and maybe there are spiritual reasons behind this if it proves true.

No one is confused, nor mesmerized, that McCain might be their Savior. Yet with regard to the plight of the unborn, McCain is mercy and justice on the horizon. Obama is okay killing infants born alive. Even Barbara Boxer isn't that extreme. Barry thinks babies are punishment. He's said his first order of business as President would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act which would instantly overturn all 300+ local, state, and federal abortion restriction laws, INCLUDING the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. Jill Stanek makes a good point - "How can a candidate claiming he wants to prevent abortions want to overturn every common sense abortion restriction? That's like saying one wants to stop pollution by overturning all anti-pollution laws."

Spiritually speaking, what one does FIRST is revealing and very defining. Heaven takes note.

We can sing God Bless America all we want but there are things God explicitly says He can't bless. If we indeed want God to bless America - and South Dakotans do - we need to put forth leaders and laws that He can rest His blessing on. Vote for John McCain. Vote YES on Initiated Measure 11 in South Dakota.
