Maybe Tom Daschle will change his views on abortion too
Hey, we can HOPE against HOPE can't we?? Why not… Daschle has changed his position on other things like how we each should pay our taxes and how those we send to Washington should drive themselves to work.
Saw this on NBC last night - couldn't find it online until my SD colleague Constant Conservative posted it today. See if you don't enjoy this 1986 Tom Daschle ad that ran here in South Dakota. Love it, love it, love it.
I know I should lighten up on him, after all, like the White House Press Secretary said yesterday… "nobody's perfect."

I think this is ironic on a few different levels but mainly because aren't the conservatives and Christians the ones usually being called hypocrites? First he says that those who don't pay their taxes should be help to the letter of the law and second he touts that he drives himself to work in an older model vehicle. Granted that was 1986, but doesn't it clearly show how Tom Daschle has lost touch with his SD roots?

Like one of the conservative talking heads said today "no wonder democrats don't have a problem raising taxes, because they don't pay them!"
That video is priceless, I bet he never thought that would come back to haunt him. I'm wondering what all the "global warming" fruit cakes were thinking when the saw that big puff of smoke come out of that tail pipe! Perfection
Later Tom!

This would have been a great video to watch during half time of the Super Bowl! Make SD proud, Tommy!

I heard rumor that the reason that he dropped out is because he's ramping up to take on Thune in the next election. Has anyone else heard that?

I kind of thought Herseth would take on Thune. But I could see another Daschle Thune race happening.

I don't think Daschle is going to run for anything ever again. If he does, it just got tons easier to beat him. It's looking likely it'll be Herseth.
