Notable decline in public support for legal abortion since President Obortion took office
The Washington Times is reporting…
Popular support for abortion rights has dropped seven points in the past year due in part to the election of a pro-choice Democratic president, the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life said Thursday. In the largest shift in sentiment since pollsters began asking about the topic in 1995, support dropped from 54 to 47 percent in one year. Opposition rose from 40 to 44 percent and the percentage of undecided rose from 6 to 9 percent.
This is based on a Pew Research Center 2009 polls showing a notable decline in public support for legal abortion. Let me say that another way, since President Obortion took office, Americans are waking up to the wrongness of what he says is right. Across the board people are shifting on this issue toward the pro-life position. Even some groups that once clearly preferred keeping abortion legal are now divided over whether it should be legal or not.

More than half of America (52%) believes abortion is morally wrong. Only 10% of the people in this nation believe abortion is morally acceptable. I maintain that South Dakota will be to the ending of abortion what Alabama was to the ending of segregation. It will end here, soon. And then pro-life numbers will skyrocket. Here's why….
When something is legal people view it as morally right. When something is illegal people view it as morally wrong. Numerous women have told me they would have never considered abortion had it not been legal and that the fact that it was legal made it not seem so wrong. Roe v Wade is resting on a very fragile foundation that modern science does not support. When it comes crashing down, those who supported it will be as hard to find as the supporters of segregation are today.
