OB GYN group led by liberal, ideologically-driven idiots weighs in on SD abortion law
So what. No one in the nation who understands the value of unborn human life is surprised to hear an OB GYN group led by ideologically-driven, liberals is openly opposing IM11. Even the media hear didn't seem to think that newsworthy. ACOG called IM11 "deceptive and dangerous." Whaaat?? Is this opposite day? I guess so.

AAPLOG (The American Association of ProLife Obstetricians and Gynecologists) represents 2000 ObGyns in and across America. AAPLOG Vice President, Joseph DeCook, said, "We support (Measure 11) to attempt to save approximately 97% of babies who would otherwise be killed by abortions done for reasons other than rape, incest and life-threatening maternal conditions."
Those who love abortion more than life will point out that ACOG as 41,000 members and AAPLOG has 2000. Two thoughts there. As with the SD state medical association (more on that to come), the membership was not consulted about their agreement to come out and oppose IM11. They are delusional or more likely, blatent liars, if they are suggesting their consistuency all feels this way about IM11. My wife belonged to the NEA for over fifteen years because she had to even though every sentence they ever issued was laden with dangerous liberalism. OB GYN docs all over South Dakota will tell you the same about their membership in ACOG and the SDSMA. In fact, the very existence of AAPLOG is evidence that ACOG so consistently is ideologically-driven on these issues that thousands of it's members felt a need to form a separate organization. We're waging a battle with the SDSMA at this time over their stance on IM 11 and the fact that it was pushed through by Marv Buehner, et. al. Multiple letters from many outraged physicians across the state are, at this moment, flowing into the email boxes of the SDSMA administration stating our disgust with the way the SDSMA was manipulated for political gain by the pro-abortion camp. If the SDSMA doesn't reverse their position, the organization will cease to be an effective group in the state due to the lack of support from it's constituents. It's unconscionable to me how the SDSMA Council made such an important decision without asking their own constituents what their view were on the issue.

Keep up the good work in posting this information! Those with the opposing view on this issue want us all to believe that these organizations that have come out against measure 11 do so with the full support of all of their members, which couldn't be further from the truth as you've pointed out.

I agree that it is unconscionable that the Pro-Abortion members of that group would act the way they do, but it is not surprising. People with little or no Moral Guidance will trample anyone to promote their ideology.
I believe they have proven that with their stance with SDSMA, what they did to Sanford (and are still doing with only the implication of their name), and now the OB GYN group.
I believe they are so bad that if their mothers were against their position, Abortion on Demand, they would probably call for their heads and try as hard as possible to discredit them or make them look crazy as well.
It just goes to show you how selfish they really are. Let’s not forget that Morals are a good thing, and are needed to govern a society that is to be Just. Our Founding Fathers new that, how did we forget?
I hope SDSMA and ACOG get enough internal pressure that they purge the diseased ideology from their policies, and punish the vagabonds that are responsible for dragging their organizations through the mud. Keep up the good work!

We are working on it. The SDSMA has heard form many physicians frustrated with the leadership at the SDSMA. Some have even resigned from the organization.
Many physicians had absolutely no idea what the SDSMA had done until it was too late. SDSMA has allowed a few physicians with an agenda of killing the unborn to prevail in their meetings. One physician tried to stand up and he was squashed. They did not allow his input.
Dr. Marv Buehner will hopefully lose his position at SDSMA and be forced to leave its membership.
