Obama and Lincoln only share a chromosome and a homestate

CAUTION: Those suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome and/or it's sister psychosis, Obama Obsession Syndrome, can expect increased heart rate and feelings of anger reading this post.

BushDancers.jpgI'm going to miss George W. Bush. History will vindicate him. For eight years, Bush put principle over popularity and my kids took note. Though those in the axis of evil throw their shoes, many nations will miss George W. Bush. 80% of Africa likes him. Parents in Darfur are naming their kids George Bush. He was a friend of women under the Taliban and Iraq.

Perhaps I'll blog a bit more this week as it will surely be a slow news week. Don't get me wrong, there will be round-the-clock inauguration coverage all week, but no matter how many times they try to compare Obama to Lincoln, Obama and Lincoln really only share a chromosome and a homestate.

Lincoln said, "nothing stamped with the divine image and likeness was sent into the world to be trodden on." Obama voted four times to let babies born alive die. And that is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of Obama's radical abortion record. I won't go there because there is enough out there already on Obama/abortion and America made her choice. Instead I'll devote a little space here to honoring Bush's regard for human life.

What a President does first is defining and it's a loud statement to Heaven itself. On his first day in office, Bush reinstituted the Mexico City Policy that stops taxpayer funding of groups that promote or perform abortions in other nations. From there President Bush signed every piece of pro-life legislation that came across his desk. The list is long. And his nomination of two Supreme Court Justices who acknowledge the personhood of the unborn will be a bane to the abortion profiteers for years to come.

Bill Donohue, the head of the Catholic League told LifeNews.com, "George W. Bush will be remembered as doing more to build a culture of life than any president. From embryonic stem cell research and cloning to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act and partial-birth abortion, George W. Bush has been the pro-life community’s best friend."

AC @ 6:23 pm

god bless gwb, and thank god he's not our president anymore!

Steve @ 7:33 pm

This just in…

Officials with the incoming administration of Barack Obama have confirmed that he will indeed overturn a pro-life policy of President Bush on his first day in office. Despite campaigning on the rhetoric of wanting to reduce abortions, Obama will make one of his first actions promoting them globally.

I must admit that I am not looking forward to tomorrow. I thought Bush was a good president and it is funny that people only look at what has been going on the past few months. Was it truly Bush's fault that Americans got greedy and spent more money then they had? These people who hate Bush, have you asked anyone America is fighting for how they feel? I am sure they will disagree with you and respect Bush for what he has done. If Obama is going to care nearly as much as Bush did for those in Africa then why did he not get involved in Kenya early this year instead of adding fuel to the fire with Odinga? I find it very disrespectful for people to compare Obama to Lincoln. Certain people have the Obama fever though so they do not care what Obama does or says. Too bad they haven't read his book! Maybe if people would have taken the time to read and educate themselves instead of listening to the liberal media they would have realized who they actually voted for! Now this president is going to have an inauguration which is going to cost millions of dollars, and more then any inauguration in the past. Does he not remember his main focus of his campaign? He talked all about fixing the economy. Funny how things change now that tomorrow is his big day. I just hope America prepares for what they have done, and God has mercy on us. We don't even deserve God's mercy.

bush and his administration invaded a country that did not attack the united states. they did it to make money and to look like they were tough after 9/11. they lied and convinced congress to allow the united states to invade iraq under a cloud of lies. this is why most people have lost all respect for mr bush, oh and the fact that he and his administration allowed torture and warrentless wiretapping, and how american died and suffered after katrina hit and our federal govt. were dumbfounded on what to do, among other things.
it is not all just black and white. people do not vote because of one issue.

"I'm going to miss George W. Bush. History will vindicate him."

Sorry, but that's as far as I got into the post. I was laughing so hard I couldn't read anymore.

Stephanie @ 8:44 am

Haggs-and yet you were able to comment. Funny how even your laughter has a double standard. Can't control it to read the entire post but can control to leave a comment.

AC-It wasn't just Bush who went into Iraq. The congress voted for it too which we also voted in. Don't tell me they were not smart enough to research the threat of the weapons of mass destruction on their own, and if they weren't smart enough to spend time looking into this or reading the reports then why vote for them again???

PC @ 9:04 am

It's difficult to watch the Obama worship going on in the media and around the world. He started out his big day keeping everyone waiting by arriving one half hour late for church. I guess royalty has it's own schedule.
I remember when President Bush took office everyone was amazed by his punctuality compared to Clinton's perpetual tardiness. This is only the beginning of what we'll miss about the character of our past President.

Grace @ 11:51 am

PC, you show no character making fun of someone based on looks.

anonymous @ 1:08 pm

Grace, what are you talking about? I see nothing in PC's comments that refer to looks.

anonymous @ 1:34 pm

grace is a stalker. she remembers everything and watches closely. she's referring to PC one time remarking that jan nicolay looks like ben franklin. he was spot on. really that comparison was very gracious compared to what could have been said. these are the people who afford leslie unruh no mercy when it comes to "looks". like many morally bankrupt people, the standard for their own morality is low (killing children is justifiable) but they hold a christian to the highest possible standard. it makes her feel more righteous to point out where the righteous come up short. grace has other alias' by which she stalks pastor steve like "hickeys BFF" and even "hickeys mistress." she's threatened that she is over his shoulder watching him and implied she will seduce him at church and that he should watch out for her there. she is jezebel.

Travis @ 1:35 pm

AC must be hitting the crack pipe a little too hard. He says that we went into Iraq to make money.

AC @ 5:50 pm

maybe 'we' meaning you and me didn't make any mone from the war in iraq, but old chenney and rummy and their families have and will profit for generations to come.
now back to my crack pipe.
