Obama said whaat???? at the National Prayer Breakfast today
At the National Prayer Breakfast this morning in Washington DC, the abortion president said this:
There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being.
Good thing I wasn't there because if I was, the moment I heard him say that, I'm afraid I would have spontaneously spewed a mouthful of coffee into the air and out my nose. Really, I'm speechless. This from the guy who sees nothing wrong with putting millions of judicially innocent unborn human beings to death each year.
If it's true, and we know it is, that God does not condone the slaughter of innocents, then it follows that God has a major issue with the Obama presidency. May his own words haunt him.
He also spoke of how we are all in a common struggle to "fulfill our highest purpose as beloved children of God." Does he listen to himself? Apparently not. That sentence means God has a predetermined purpose for each human life. I wonder at what point he thinks God hands out life purposes to his children. At age three? Age one? At birth? Before?

I think his speech writers have a wonderful sense of humor, or maybe they are closet Hillary fans. Either way I am with you on the nose spew!
Paybacks Mr. Obama, paybacks.
Rachel @ 3:29 pm
I would encourage you to write Pres. Obama about this. . . since he likes his image as an honest person, maybe that will get his attention.
bwjunior @ 3:33 pm
Believe it or not, Obama believes like many in this country that a zygote hasn't quite hit innocent human being status but I am sure you knew that….
Steve @ 3:42 pm
Junior - then you and the others in the country need to get up to date on the sciences of molecular biology and fetology. Planned Parenthood was able to show a high court NO EVIDENCE contrary to the scientific fact that conception produces a separate living and distinct human being. You and your friends can continue to think otherwise but science is not on your side.
Why don't you answer the question at the bottom of the post…. when does God hand out life purposes to his children? Somewhere between zygote stage and birth??
Gooey Grace @ 3:50 pm
Junior -
I believe Obama's official position on your Zygote response is as follows.
"The issue of Life is above my pay grade"
Since not knowing, and ignoring science, is his official position you think that an honorable man would error on the side of Life.
Mr. Junior and Mr. Obama, since you do not know when life begins, and you have problems looking up the scientific research; it is a monstrous/genocidal act to error on the side of death.
Obama Doublespeak: We Don’t Disparage Wealth…Except When We Do @ 6:30 pm
[…] this and Obama's quote at the National Prayer Breakfast about not condoning the "taking the life of an innocent […]
Stephanie @ 7:16 pm
Was he just addressing the unborn or all the innocent lives in the world? I consider the one year old I am watching put magnetic numbers on the fridge right now innocent??!! Does this mean he thinks God would be ok with someone taking her life? Seriously how messed up are people and how messed are all the people who voted for this man….if I can call him a man. Not impressed! Haven't been impressed with him at all, and now Ogden. Seriously messed up!
Jerry @ 10:30 pm
Stephanie, you didn't understand the quote. President Obam basically says God does not allow and accept taking the life of an innocent human being. This is contradictory to his stance as a Senator. The statement is true, God does not condone the killing of the innocent.
Voices Carry the last part of your post is interesting. Are you trying to say we are not called to be beloved children of God. In a certain sense God has a predetermined purpose for each human life and that is to be his beloved child from conception. This call is given to us in our Baptism. I have not actually heard what President Obama said at thee prayer breakfast, I am sorry I am not more informed.
Gooey Grace @ 8:18 am
Stephanie-
I believe he was just talking out of the side of his face. I don't think he cares about any life except his own. He proved that his family doesn't matter when he offered up his grandchild as a saccrifice to his false God.
Stephanie @ 8:43 am
The link below will take you to a story that is not acceptable and will drastically disturb you. I just cannot understand how anyone can do this, or vote for someone who is in favor of this. If Obama had it his way he would do this to children/infants who cannot support themselves. Seriously we live in a sad world and a troubled time. I am just praying for God's rath to come soon so the killings can stop!

Yes, a horrible story. I don't understand how come some people can't see that this is flat out murder either way! The only difference is in the method of murder. In one scenario the Dr induces preterm labor, is there to deliver the baby (Shanice), except for her head-and he then murders Shanice by sticking an instrument into the base of her skull and destroys her brain. The other scenario-the Dr induces preterm labor, is NOT there to murder Shanice before she is fully delivered, so the assistant murders Shanice by suffocation in a plastic bag! PEOPLE it's a BABY, a living, heart-beating PERSON. Open your eyes!

Here, in Barack Obama's own words, his explanation that a born child can be killed if it can't be guaranteed that they will live. That, my dear ones, is infanticide, and that is what our president condones. Plain English - start on Page 86. I know you pro-choicers won't read this because it will confirm everything we have been saying, but my pro-baby friends should commit these quotes to memory. http://www.ilga.gov/senate/transcripts/strans92/ST033001.pdf
Steve @ 10:41 am
Jerry - I'm intending to communicate how we each have a call on our lives, a purpose as children of God. I don't agree with you when you say that purpose/calling is imparted to us at Baptism. God certainly doesn't wait until that moment to figure out a reason he created us. There are numerous passages that speak of God's plan and purpose for our lives being concieved long before we are born. And it's not the case that people who are not baptized have no divine calling.
Nikole @ 12:06 pm
Maybe everyone else already knew this one, but I just found it today. Job 10:10 (NLT) "You guided my conception and formed me in the womb."
Steve @ 1:30 pm
Wait, Nikole? I'm confused. The "Pastors Promoting Immoral Choices" are going around telling all the Biblically illerate people that the Bible says nothing about abortion or the personhood of the unborn. Looks like you've found yet another passage that directly applies to the issue of abortion and the humanity fo the unborn. Maybe they really are "blind guides."
It was a passage already on my list, but keep up the search folks! There are more verses than the ones I've found to date.
Love Wins @ 3:04 pm
Politics will not bring forth the Kingdom of God. God is bigger than your politics. He is bigger than right and left. So stop the name calling and pursuing the earthly power and just love. Love wins. And it will always win.
Steve @ 3:12 pm
Love Wins,
Did somebody on this blog suggest politics will bring forth the Kingdom of God??? I didn't. But I have on a number of occasions boldly said the Kingdom of God will transform politics.
The K of G is not to be relegated to one corner of society, it's like leaven, and it will permeate the entire loaf - politics, education, entertainment, finance, health care, every sector of society transformed by the Kingdom of God.
You are right… love will win! And it's love that stands in the way of those who would harm children. I see a difference between mean-spirited name calling and using descriptors that the speak the truth about something or someone. Thanks for commenting here at South Dakota's most loving blog!!

I really have a problem with one of your statements: "God has a major issue with the Obama presidency". According to my bible, all authority is given by God. He uses even the worst to bring about His plan. He set Pharoah into place. And He, not the voters, put President Obama into place.
I do not agree with him on many issues and I did not vote for him but according to 2 Timothy 2, I must pray for Him. I must respect and honor him. It is God who turns the heart of a "king", not my opinion whether the person is good or bad. His ways are so much higher than our ways.
Daniel served under a wicked ruler, I don't think he wrote a column downgrading him, I think he got the heart of God and prayed for him. And God turned the kings heart and blessed them all. It was Daniels serving God that changed the heart of the king, not his exposure of all the kings sin.
Lord, I pray for you to reveal yourself to President Obama. I ask for a mighty visitation of Fathers' heart to him. That in his weakness, he will find You are strong. Give him dreams as you promised and reveal the plan of heaven for him and for our nation, for the sake of Your Great Name! Father have mercy on us, your children. Give us Your heart on how to pray and declare from heaven your plan for all authority comes from you, not us. We cry out for all those in goverment to hear You calling them to Yourself, for a turning of their hearts and minds to the One who created them. Spare us Lord, from the fowlers snare, and turn the hearts of our leaders and remind us of our founding fathers declaration that we are one nation under God. Amen
Just last week, a lady in our city went to the neighborhood abortion clinic to talk and pray with women entering the clinic. She does this regularly, however this day was different. The pastors of our city met at our capital to pray for our govenor and those legislating the laws of our state. They did not go in with a list of things we don't like. They went to bless and pray. It was amazing all that happened in that day. On the outside, this lady continued praying as usual. That day she spoke to 3 women, all prayed with her and turned away from what they were about to do. One was caring twins. Four babies were saved that day.
Jesus said, "bless those that curse". He also said, "for they know not what they do". Our only hope is in Him, not our persuasive words.
Steve @ 8:54 am
Pat - There are a couple places in your first two paragraphs where I don't agree and I think you probably don't either. You admit you have issues with Obama on many fronts, but that God doesn't?? If, as you say, God doesn't have issues with Obama's presidency, why do you have issues? Of course God has issues with this administration, major issues.
There is confusion in the camp on who put Obama in office. The people did. Unlike Pharaoh, Obama was not placed in office by God's decretive will. When the Bible talks about God setting up kings, the freewill of the people is only a minor contributing factor, if any factor at all. However, today, in this democracy we call America, the freewill of the people is the major contributing factor and because of that the various dimensions of the will of God then come strongly into play.
When I teach the will of God I explain how there is the Perfect or Prescribed Will of God which is God's best path for our lives (or prescription). Yet WE often reject that path as individuals and a society (like the people of the nation did on Nov. 4). We rejected his Perfect or Prescribed Will and in doing so we entered into God's Permissive Will for our lives. He allows us to walk into the consequences of our choices. He's not to blame for them. If America takes a sharp turn toward Sodom under Obama, we can't say God wanted it this way. He has issues with our choices. He mourns and grieves at the choices of man, yet allows us to walk freely away from his ways (aka his Will). Yet, there is always the Providential Will of God whereby in the end he fully accomplishes his purposes on the earth. So, if you are talking about God's Providential Will which I'm sure you are, I agree God has set plans for the Obama presidency.
Christian people on occasion tell me I'm polarizing with my words. What I saw last spring and fall is a full lack of the prophetic voice in our nation. I'll point out as well that the true prophetic voice in a nation isn't always affirming. But that doesn't necessarily mean we are cursing when we speak against unrighteous people or policies.
I'm glad to see you are continuing to fight for the unborn. I'm troubled that so many people in the church aren't and in fact that they are making peace with the fact that abortion will be here for a long time. We ought never make peace with the fact that living human beings are being dismembered right around the corner from our churches. Lou Engle has a great, and polarizing message he gave after the election on when peace is a sin. I'm troubled that we are all jumping to the God-wanted-it-this-way message and reminding each other to pray for kings and rulers. I don't need that reminder, I live in the world of governmental intercession.
The cry for "change" in our nation outweighed the cry for "mercy." So in that sense, God gave the nation what we asked for not what we needed or what was best for us. I'm struck though in the fact that one of the synonyms for "change" is the word "repentance" (change direction) so I am praying the cry for change in this nation will manifest in a good change of direction (repentance - to go the opposite way).
I do appreciate your prayer for Obama. I am among the leaders who pray blessings on him and his precious family. Here's the simple prayer we are using… "God, I pray that this day President Obama and all in his administration would walk in a strong sense of the fear of the Lord."
Yes, God can turn the heart of kings and that's why that little prayer is important.
