Obama's fancy dance comes to an end

Here's a  little something from the lighter side for the latter half of your week. Lite posting from me for a few days - which will be a relief to some.  But, I thought you'd like to see the 2008 Presidential Race from a different angle and get a sneek preview at how Obama's air kicks and fancy dance comes to an end.  The "fist to the face" is the issue of abortion.

Angry Guy @ 12:14 pm

This analogy comes off a little racist and would appear to be condoning violence in the name of your cause.
Shame "pastor"… for shame.

Steve @ 8:23 pm

Racist? Didn't notice a difference in the races of anyone in the video. I guess you see what you want to see. Shame on you. Quit playing the race card - stick to the issues. I'd be 1000% behind a black WOMAN for president if she was pro-life! My closest friend is blacker than this computer before me. Hah - you have no idea.

Violence? Metaphor Angry Guy, let me spell this out for you… M e t a p h o r . It's figurative. The whole thing is figurative. That's why it's funny. Liberals have no sense of humor.

But let's talk about this some more because the Dakota Women also enjoy bringing this up in their feature posts on me called - "nice Christian attitude." I marvel at the image you all have in your minds of Jesus and Christianity and pastors. Soft. Where did you get that? Not the Bible. I supposed it's because so many pastors have been tamed to be soft and it's a long discussion, but their Biblical prophetic (corrective and directive) role in society has been stripped of them by the Johnson Amendment. That will change soon.

But, Jesus wasn't soft - he made a whip out of cords in John 2:15. Why does a guy make a whip? Dakota Women, you should feature that on your next "nice Christian attitude" post - "Jesus made a whip - he and that Pastor Doohickey are wackos." Today folks have created in their minds an effeminate emasculated Jesus who would tolerate everything. That Jesus is different than the Jesus in the Bible. Read it yourself.

You will find him hating what God hates. And let me be clear because I know you will misquote me… he didn't hate people, he loved people, but he hated that which hurts people. Big difference. Don't misquote me, I'm not teaching hate, I'm illustrating that Jesus wasn't all tolerance and soft… he hated things that got between people and God, he hated injustice and crimes against children and the fact that women were marginalized and he hated the demonic. He was strong. And so my boxing metaphor may be shocking to you, but only because you have a skewed view of Jesus and you've never met a pastor who rises up in any kind of Biblical prophetic unction to fight evil and call a spade a spade in terms of good/bad, light/darkness, life/death.

You want some dirt on me… I was suspended from high school 11 times for fighting. My testimony is that Jesus forgave me and yet merely redeemed the "fight" in me - I fight in a different way now and only the battles he is fighting in the earth.  The anger is gone, Angry Guy. The fight is still there. You don't have to go around mad. Now I'm preaching to you. :)

Mark my words… the "fist in the face" for Obama will be the issue of abortion.

Angry Guy @ 9:53 pm

Yeah.. I see where you are coming from. Jesus would have totally kicked that whitey's ASS in the video. That's a dragon kick of LOVE, holmes! KEEYAIH!!!
I'm off to bed now… let me spell it out for you.

Gee Angry Guy,

You really seem to be a bit HUMOR deprived…

This is really just another twist on the scene in Indiana Jones where the fancy swordsmanship looked "really cool", up to the point that Indy shot him.

At that point the audience laughed.

Ha, ha, ha, tee, hee, tee, hee…

William Beal @ 11:34 pm

Angry Guy,

In another perspective, one needs to consider that pride truly goes before a fall.

"God / Jesus" didn't forgive ME until I got "cold cocked", and yes sometimes you have to get slapped down before you "get it"…

As Pastor Steve points out, so well; "Jesus wasn't soft - he made a whip out of cords". Sometimes you just can't find Heaven until you get the Hell knocked out of you".

"you've never met a pastor who rises up in any kind of Biblical prophetic unction to fight evil and call a spade a spade "
Spade? really? I accuse your post of having racist undertones and you work the term spade into your response?

Really?
Wow.
Are you sure it isn't "Grand Dragon" Hickey?

Steve @ 11:35 am

Angry Guy you are a schmuck and you are about to get blocked from future conversations. You've been warned. Back to the point at hand… your guy, Barry, he is okay with infanticide. His stance on that matter will knock him out of the race.

Amy @ 1:45 pm

Hey Steve:

I, for one, would appreciate it if you blocked AG. Though it is good to be reminded of what kind of temporal foolishness occupies some people's lives, too much can be a distraction.

I pray that AG finds the TRUE Father heart of God. People don't strike out in verbal anonymity, call themselves "Angry Guy" and drink themselves to sleep because they are happy and at peace. Perhaps AG will come to realize that there is a real dark Enemy who IS HIS enemy and that God has made a way through the cross of Jesus for him (AG) to be free of his present pain and that of his broken past. Perhaps he will come to realize that we are all the same as him - that is, we have all been the same - it's just that we have found Truth, and the Man of Truth has set us free from the bondages we were in.

I will pray for AG to this end, but I will not give place to his anger.

Angry Guy @ 2:40 pm

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine. You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

While I agree that the issue of abortion rights will sway many voters, I don't see it being the one that makes or breaks a candidate. I guess we'll have to wait and see what November brings. In the mean time, I'll sit over and wait for someone to say something silly (I'm looking at you, Amy) that I can poke them in the eye over. Block me if you like. It would further cement my BELIEF that censorship runs amok on the right and that is just ok to only listen to what you want to hear.

Thank you for your time and prayers.

Angry Guy - I'm assuming you are quoting Obi One Kenobi and not threating me.
