Pelosi - stop the poor from reproducing

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco, where else?) told ABC's George Stephanopoulos on Sunday that birth control needs to be part of the new economic stimulus package. Here's the exchange and video:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?

PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

These people have no clue what to do about the economy - they are there to advance their wicked causes like ridding the world of less desirable, unwanted babies. This is nothing more than repackaged eugenics and racism right out of the Margaret Sanger playbook. Here's some excellent satire that says it oh so well:

“Poor people are a luxury we just can’t afford,’ said Rep. Pelosi, “They cost us a lot of money to maintain; what with food stamps, housing and health care. So if we can rapidly reduce the number of poor people through contraception and abortion, that’s a net gain for federal and state budgets, and a fast track to economic recovery. Every poor baby prevented is like money in the bank.”

A spokesman for Planned Parenthood, the world’s leading abortion sales chain, confirmed Mrs. Pelosi’s
assertion, noting that “even if the stimulus bill helps harvest only the low-hanging fruit by reducing live births among blacks and hispanics, that would be a major boost, since minorities comprise nearly 50 percent of those on Medicaid.”

Planned Parenthood continues to lobby Congressional Democrats and the Obama administration to include even more funding in the stimulus bill for better marketing efforts to attract minority women who have not yet considered abortion as “a viable lifestyle choice.”

“Despite our best efforts to date,” the source said, “only 1-in-5 pregnancies ends in abortion. We need the marketing money to spur growth in what we call our frequent-flier segment. Blacks make up only about 13 percent of the population, yet they have 40 percent of the abortions. We still think there’s real upside potential there.”

The spokesman added that, “Planned Parenthood, since its inception, has been the Sam’s Club of abortions for minority communities. We keep the product cheap so our customers can buy in large quantities. What we lose in profit per procedure we more than make up for in volume. Of course, our work also helps reduce racial tensions by adhering to time-tested Darwinian principles.”

It's beyond dispute that had we not aborted 50 million babies these last 36 years our ecomony would have conservatively 35 million more people producing revenue, paying taxes and buying things. The economic cost of abortion has been shown to be in the trillions of dollars.

Ms. Underestimated has this so say…

Yeah, Nancy… that’s EXACTLY how to get our economy moving forward! Let’s fund abortions, condoms, morning-after pills, and all other sorts of fun stuff that allows young people to shirk their duties as responsible young adults. YAY! For all you tax-payers out there who don’t suckle at the teat of the government, BOHICA, because you’re going to be footing the bill for all of this social recklessness and lack of morality.

Remarkably, Pelosi is a devout Catholic and mother of five with six grandchildren. At least this idiot Pelosi didn't think "stimulus" meant something like Viagra.

So we have a President who thinks babies are punishment and a Speaker of the House who thinks they are unnecessary commodities that put undo burden on the Treasury. I actually fear for these people because God comes down hard on those who exploit the poor.

Maybe Sanger didn't die. She changed her name and did a heck of a lot of Botox!

Another thought. With Pelosi's attitude toward poor people being a burden on the treasury, why does the government continue to come up with policies and programs that reward the very behavior she says is a problem?

I believe there is something to be said about the biblical structure of Gleanings, allowing the poor to pick and eat, and leaving the corners.

God's Policy of helping the poor help themselves works a whole lot better than our Governments Many Policies of redistribution only, without any efforts of the receiver.

Is "Gooey Grace (is bad)" really the best you could come up with? You're going to have to try harder to offend me.

Hey Grace-

I am not trying to offend you, but since you noticed I reckon it had some affect on you.

Anywho what do you think of your sister Pelosi after her Hitleresk statements?

Nikole @ 2:32 pm

Does this mean if we would like to have more children, we should have them now before Pelosi/Obama put a limit on how many kids we can have?

Gooey Grace (is bad) @ 2:45 pm

Nikole -

You may not be that far off base. Although it would probably sound something like this, if you make less than 250,000 / year you may have only 1 child.

They will probably try to enforce that by adding a Child Tax. For 1 child there would be no tax, for your 2nd and 3rd you will have to pay $7,500 per child. For your 4th-6th the tax will increase to $15,000 per child. Any children after that will cost $50,000 each.

All Doctor's under the threat of a prison sentence (and heavy fines), must report the patient, their home and work address, family income, how many children they currently have, and any known health conditions within 72 hours of the confirmation of pregnancy.

Then within one week a friendly military patrol will show up at your house or place of employment and escort you under rifle point, and the newly designed AmeriBama flag, to the closest Planned Parenthood facility to undergo your scheduled government funded abortion.

I heard that there is an Acne Medicine that is very dangerous (extremely high levels of Vitamin A). In fact when a person is on it they need to go through monthly blood tests.

The side effects are horrible and include mental illness and in women high levels of birth defects. I also heard that if you are a female and qualify (through the federal government scrutiny) you have to sign a pledge to the Federal Government, that if you get pregnant, you will have an abortion.

Sounds like the ground work has already been laid down!

"Remarkably, Pelosi is a devout Catholic…"

No, this is not correct. Pelosi claims to be a devout Catholic, but she is really not Catholic at all. Devout Catholics worship God, not abortion. Too bad Pelosi doesn't have a strong bishop to tell her to quit already with the "I'm a devout Catholic" crap, just like Bishop Carlson told Daschle to quit claiming he was Catholic a few years back. Tom Daschle stepping into a Catholic church every few years for a funeral doesn't make him a Catholic anymore than me eating at Taco Bell makes me Mexican. Unfortunately, these "Catholics in name only" don't get it. They will someday, but probably not until it's too late.

Steve @ 5:11 pm

Anonymous 5:07 - You are right on! And I hope you caught my sarcasm in calling here a "devout Catholic".

Grace????? We were having a good conversation and you stopped talking. There are questions you left unanswered. What it something I said or something you know I know?

After her illiterate ramblings on National TV, I am guessing the Vatican called a meeting of Bishops to address the issue of straightening her out.

From there they had a spot Pelosi Party to figure out where she belongs. But as you can probably guess she was harder to spot in a church than Big Foot.

Being an ultra conservative capitalist pig I would have to agree with Pelosi on this. Sure, public funding doesn't seem like it should fall under economic stimulus but she's a Democrat, so its understandable. Studies have shown the crime drop in the nineties was due to the over turn of Roe v Wade, legalizing abortion (Freakonomics, 2005). Public funding for abortion stops the root of the expanding ills of society. The cost of one abortion is a lot less than supporting that individual with the public safety net. I don't think public funding for abortions will cause a huge immoral orgie, but reduce government expenditures on an unstainable population. Hopefully, the right wingers can someday understand this simple logic and let go of their religious induced ideologies and support a responsible and efficient government. Their biblical interpretations and definitions of life are well intentioned, but hopelessly flawed in logic. Jails are overcrowded and the unsustainable population is growing, while the federal government deficit swells. Public funding for abortion is the only answer to growing further in debt to foreign countries to house, feed, medicate what could have been prevented. Abortion isn't immoral, opposing it is.
