Planned Parenthood tries to make SD woman center of abortion debate

Tiffany Campbell of Sioux Falls is the only post-abortive woman in the history of the world to be shown sympathy by those who profit from abortion.

Every other post-abortive woman (who is so obviously hurting from losing a child) is treated with scorn by the abortion industry. Studies showing "abortion hurts woman" are quickly and spitefully disregarded. Court depositions taken of the staff and operations here in the Sioux Falls Planned Parenthood reveal that after the "procedure" women are sent out the doors to deal with the aftermath alone. Planned Parenthood keeps no records, offers no follow-up care of any kind, nor does the woman have any on-going contact with any staff or doctor.

People need to remember abortion is a business. Once the sale is made and the untrained clerk at the cash register collects the money and the goods are exchanged, those selling abortions have no return policy. This is what makes the enormous sympathy factor the SD Campaign for UNHealthy Families is exploiting surrounding Mrs. Campbell so ironic. I'll repeat, Mrs. Campbell is the only post-abortive woman in the history of the world to be shown sympathy by those who profit from abortion. And the only reason they "care" about her, is because she is their only hope in defeating Initiated Measure 11. She IS their campaign. They should pay her millions for being their martyr.

Those who profit from abortion have strategically exploited Mrs. Campbell to create a great diversion. The intent of Initiated Measure 11 is to stop abortion from being used as birth control. Planned Parenthood knows they can't fight for that because almost everyone thinks abortion should not be available for back up birth control. So the Campaign for UNHealthy Families has had to create strategic diversions; government intrusion and fetal anomaly cases.

However, Campbell has thrust herself fully into the limelight. In a 2/3 page ad in this last Sunday's Argus Leader, Campbell lashes out at VoteYes.  (Note the ad itself is illegal - I inquired about how it is the Argus ran a political ad without the required disclaimer - "Paid for by…". They were unable to tell me who paid for the ad and said it wasn't political. Baloney. If a paid advertisment naming Vote Yes and talking solely about IM11 appears in the paper two days before an election, it's political.)  Regardless, this statement of Campbell's to VoteYes caught my attention, "Should someone's else's wife, mother or child be a martyr for your cause?"

For months my approach has been to be quiet and just pray for Tiffany Campbell. No one in the pro-life movement has anything but sympathy for her - the stories of her being threatened aren't believable to me. As one who is threatened himself for speaking out on this issue, we all know the threats aren't coming from the pro-life side. A cruel comment noted on a blog last week, supposedly made streetside and attributed to a VoteYes'r was false and Campbell deeply hurt the person by twisting his words so. She is a classic post-abortive woman who is hurting, mad, threatening and with good reason -  she has suffered great loss and now her story (again, with her consent) is openly discussed statewide. Her ad in the paper yesterday was revealing and reminded me of others who have suffered loss and lash out. Thankfully it sounds like she has a lot of support from the people around her. She needs it. But I'm asking the converse of her martyr question, how many babies have to die to give her peace about the death of her own? How many more babies have to die to atone for her great loss?

Mrs. Campbell needs to sue Planned Parenthood for millions and millions of dollars. Here's why. Six weeks ago UNHealthy Families brought in one the nations leading experts in Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. They brought this expert doctor in to do a seminar on TTTS and invited area doctors. After discussing TTTS in detail, a Q&A time followed. Pro-life doctor Steve Billion of Sioux Falls, sitting just a couple seats away from Dr. Maria Bell (key figure in the anti-life movement here), raised his hand to ask a question of the TTTS expert.  Here is that question;

"If left untreated, do you think TTTS would pose a significant health risk to the life of the mother?"

Here's the answer that came from the TTTS expert brought in by UNHealthy Families….

"Yes, TTTS, left untreated, would pose a significant health risk to the life of the mother."

Those who were there tell me Dr. Bell was livid. But Tiffany Campbell was also there to hear this expert explain that left untreated, TTTS would pose a significant health risk to the life of the mother. In other words, TTTS would fall under the health and life of the mother exception in IM11 and therefore IM11 would have in no way hindered Tiffany Campbell from seeking even a selective reduction procedure. Initiated Measure 11 leaves all the options for woman in her situation in the hands of the woman and her doctor.

She should be livid that she has been exploited and lied to by those who profit from abortion. The lawyers and CEO's of the abortion industry have treated her like royalty all the while misleading her, grooming her since 2006 and setting her up here for 2008 - and all because they had nothing else with which to fight Initiated Measure 11. They chose to sacrifice this hurting woman for their cause. I began this post saying Tiffany Campbell is the only woman in the history of the world to be shown sympathy by the abortion industry. Yet, even here, it turns out it's not "sympathy" after all. She, like all the other women, has been sacrificed on the altar of profit.

Tiffany, don't let somebody else in another state be a martyr for their cause. Sue them, they have billions! You will win.

Steve, this is an amazing post. I've been praying for the Campbells. I just don't understand how someone can take their tragedy and make a campaign out of it. How can a human, regardless of their compassion level, willingly publicize their pain only for more pain? I pray for the Campbells. They really do not realize what they are doing, and poor Brady who is going to have to face this everyday of his life. Not only brought about by kids who do not understand, but what guilt to install in a child by making the death of his sibling public? I have no words for this, only prayers!

I, too, have been praying for the Campbells. Their actions show they are in desperate need. Ironic that all the prayers for them come from the pro-life side.

I still can't figure out why Tiffany Campbell insists that her medical condition would not be covered under IM 11, when it clearly would be. I can understand someone being a martyr for a legitimate cause, but being a martyr for a lie? I just can't wrap my mind around that.

The Campbells may not get the millions they deserve from Planned Parenthood for ruining their lives and reputation, but last week one of the Dakota Women did suggest UNHealthy Families pony-up for a fruit basket. Believe it or not, Tiffany Campbell posted a comment herself to thank them for the very kind gesture.

I also would feel duped by UNhealthy families knowing that I was used. After all the Campbell's have gone through, only to find out what they choose is covered under IM 11 would be incredibly disturbing. I hope they realize that the anger they are exhibiting is directed at the wrong people. You can't blame VoteYes for clarifying the lies and deception of UNhealthy families. 800 babies lives depend on that. I also hope the Campbell's realize that not only are prolifers all over the state praying for them, they would be welcomed to join our fight.

four,

I think that once the Campbell's realize what's really happened to them by the actions of UNHealthy Families and Planned Parenthood, they will join the fight to defeat them. I'm sure they've been sincere, but used as dupes by those that mislead them on IM 11.
