Remarkably, Daily Show sees through Obama hype, false hope
Invesco Field is empty today except for work crews taking down the facade of pillars at the Temple of Obama. The peak of Obama hype and false hope is now behind us - last night was as good as it'll get for Barry. But it was a great show. Yet, even a spectacular production can't change the fact that this guy has no guiding core. As 84,000 people now go home to more oxygen and clearer thinking in the lower altitudes, they realize McCain/Palin are going to win. Big.
Remarkably, as the video clip illustrates, the Daily Show even sees through the spiritual hypnosis many others are now realizing nearly buffaloed them too.
McCain's camp keeps this in perspective. This is from their website press release last night following the speech.
Tonight, Americans witnessed a misleading speech that was so fundamentally at odds with the meager record of Barack Obama. When the temple comes down, the fireworks end, and the words are over, the facts remain: Senator Obama still has no record of bipartisanship, still opposes offshore drilling, still voted to raise taxes on those making just $42,000 per year, and still voted against funds for American troops in harm's way. The fact remains: Barack Obama is still not ready to be President.
Regarding the plight of the unborn, McCain is hope on the horizon. With Palin on the ticket, Obama's descent will be much faster than even I thought. This will be the first installment in eulogizing his Presidential hopes.
This is a great day for women and the unborn! Happy Women's Suffrage Week!

I was thrilled to hear that McCain had picked a woman to be his running mate. I am not familar with Sarah Palin, but what I have heard so far in this short amount of time makes me very hopeful for this upcoming presidential election. Sarah is very prolife, family oriented and is a born-again believer. I got this off of Breaking Christian News… Sarah is strongly pro-life. She and her husband, Todd, (they were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary on Friday) have five children. Todd is a commercial fisherman and production operator who also cares for the children during his wife's gubernatorial duties. Their oldest boy joined the US Army last year, on Sept. 11th, and is scheduled to deploy to Iraq in a couple weeks. Their youngest, a down-syndrome baby boy born this past spring, slept peacefully in his big sister's arms, as his mother was introduced as John McCain's running mate Friday morning. In the eyes of those who find abortion acceptable, a woman and mother with such an intensive career outside the home might have "a reason"—upon finding out that she is pregnant with a down-syndrome baby—to end the pregnancy. (Recent statistics show that in the US, approximately 90% of Down Syndrome diagnoses end with the mother choosing abortion.) But, in an interview with the Anchorage Daily News, Sarah candidly stated, "We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed." She added in an AP report on the subject, "I'm looking at him [Trig] right now, and I see perfection. Yeah, he has an extra chromosome. I keep thinking, in our world, what is normal and what is perfect?" And, in an interview with Newsmax, when asked about her stand on abortion, Gov. Palin replied, "I'm pro-life. I'll do all I can to see every baby is created with a future and potential. The legislature should do all it can to protect human life." Praise God for Sarah Palin.

Ok - I know this doesn't have anything to do with the Obama post that this is, but I needed to tell you what I encountered today as I was completely appalled.
So this afternoon I spent some time volunteering at the VoteYesForLife.com booth at LifeLight. While I was there talking to people and getting the word out about IM11, two people (who are likely associated with Planned Parenthood) approached our booth to had out flyer on "What does the Bible really say about abortion" - which claims the argument that the word abortion is not mentioned in the bible, therefore God must be ok with it.
As if that wasn't enough, when I kindly stated that I did not want their literature he said I obviously needed to read it since I "have no idea what the Bible really says." and then went on to tell me that I don't read the Bible.
To top it all off, one of them had a t-shirt on that said "EAT A QUEER FETUS FOR JESUS".
EXCUSE ME? What's that? So not only do they hate babies, but they hate homosexuals? Just so we're all very clear on this, Jesus loves EVERYONE and would completely oppose someone wearing a t-shirt like that. Nor would he find it pleasing for someone to "eat a queer fetus" (whatever that's all about).
God help them for they know not what they do.

Did you happen to watch the Daily Show covering the RNC? Funny that the only thing they could criticize with the DNC was the size of the event, but they had much more to criticize with the actual beliefs and philosophies at the RNC. Again, you are very judgmental and choose only the info that supports your position.

None, You are humoring me. I'm sure Jon Stewart did look real hard to find something to criticize about the DNC and that, as you say, he could only find one thing. You are very judgmental of the RNC.

For some reason, that kid with the t-shirt, "Eat a queer fetus for Jesus" has been sticking in my mind. I woke up overnight a couple nights ago, thought of him, and prayed. Who knows what he may have been doing at 3 in the morning! If he was contemplating suicide or doing something bad, my intercession may have saved his life. I'll keep praying for him. I've never seen or met him, but when God stirs me to pray for a stranger like this, it means He has great plans. God is going to invade the guy's life in a big way. Glory!
