Sanford skirts South Dakota law giving 30 million for embryonic stem cell research

The Argus Leader reported today… South Dakota businessman and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford will give $30 million to a stem cell research initiative in California - a practice that is banned in South Dakota. The Argus reports…

Research is publicly funded in California through a statewide initiative but is illegal in South Dakota. The state in 2000 banned anyone from knowingly conducting "nontherapeutic research that destroys a human embryo" or research that subjects an embryo to "substantial risk of injury or death." …The law also bans anyone from using for research purposes "cells or tissues that the person knows were obtained" through embryonic stem cell research…

I've written on this previously

No kidding… a couple years ago when we were all celebrating the 400 million dollar gift from T. Denny Sanford to build a new Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls and it was unveiled that it would look like a castle, I had a prophetic awareness that it would have a secret dungeon under it. This actually haunted me for some time, I'm being honest and I'm not joking. This isn't funny to me. What I saw was that in the dungeon children would be "parted out" so others could benefit from their destruction. I told a few friends and said "let's watch this closely and see how unborn children fit into the Sanford vision."

The Argus Leader continues…

…Human embryonic stem cell research is controversial and thought to hold promise for treatments for a range of ailments from diabetes to Alzheimer's disease to paralysis. The cells have the potential to grow into any kind of tissue in the body.

I continue to marvel at the media on this issue. This is where I just don't get it. There have been NO - that is ZERO - NO cures or benefits uncovered in ANY embryonic stem cell research EVER! Why can't the media report this fact? Embryonic stem cells mutate and destroy life. And, of course, a life, a separate and distinct human life is destroyed to get them. On the other hand, adult stem cells have PROVEN miraculous. Brother Denny, here's the score…

Steve:

Here's the scary parts of the Argus article:

T. Denny Sanford is donating to the San Diego Consortium for Regenerative Medicine, a group of four institutes that will collaborate on stem cell research.

Though Sanford Health officials say their benefactor's latest donation won't directly affect their efforts to cure Type 1 Diabetes, the link does further align them with with the stem cell research effort…

…and Sanford Health chief executive Kelby Krabbenhoft said this summer that he won't rule out the practice in the quest to cure diabetes. "There are certain clinical limitations, given our Legislature and things like that, but that's why we have the people out in San Diego."

I read this to say that T. Denny will now be pouring $$$ into state races in an effort to do away with "certain clinical limitations, given our legislature." Watch the races closely, and as always, follow the MONEY. We can't count on the media to do their job, Sanford practically owns KELO based on all the fawning they do there, plus Sanford is a major sponsor and advertiser at KELO, and they also spend excessive amounts of money on Argus ads as well.

What if T. Denny had taken his 50 million that he has dumped into doomed embryonic stem cell research and instead used that money to help girls who are pregnant and afraid avoid abortion in South Dakota by providing for them and their babies?

Every time I drive by Sanford Hospital and see that statue I feel ill - I'm serious. WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?

Hey:

Lookie - I found on Sanford's Annual report from last year:

"Sanford Initiatives National Commission – Topical areas identified including maximizing impact of the Sanford gift and best possible perceptions and participation– Al Neuharth accepted Honorary Chair position– "

WHAT! Al Neuharth - you don't say! You know, retired chairman of Gannett - the owner of the Argus Leader! Wiki says "He helped to build Gannett into the largest newspaper company in the U.S." A mainstream media guy (actually THE media guy). Go figure.

You can read it all here:

Avera, here I come!

I agree with Amy about Sanford attempting to change our State Legislature and ultimately our culture in South Dakota to meet their needs. Beware, as they attempt to "buy and own" South Dakota physicians, they will also attempt to "buy and own" the values of our State.

Two of my co-workers resigned to go work for T. Denny Sanford. One will be working in the Childrens' Specialty Clinic and then in the new hospital when it gets completed next year.

It's time to claim the land! Children are valuable in God's eyes and His heart, not something to do science or medical projects with. Looks like I'll have to consider a new doctor since the one I felt I was to see is connected with Sanford. Man! I cannot go to McDonald's because they send their employees to homosexual bootcamp. Guess that will help my cholestrol level go down, so I guess no doctor is needed!

Awesome conference call tonight! Keep the momentum going!

Ok — this stinks on many levels, but my insurance requires that I use Sanford. Anything Avera is considered out of network so I pay 30% out of pocket instead of 10% with Sanford. :-(

Amy @ 2:48 pm

Hey Peeps:

I have a lot of Godly friends who work for Sanford, and some of them will undoubtedly remain in their positions as long as possible as lighthouses to guide the way for others. HOWEVER, I think there are believers in the organization who know exactly what has gone on and they have made their choice to side with Mammon in support of Molech. We have good friends who are health care providers for Sanford Clinic - Christians who are seeking the Lord about their lives. These folks need our prayers for the Wisdom of God, that they would understand His timing and not be taken captive by Mammon and fear of financial loss.

Pray.

Amy, you are pretty smart.. While people get out of wack about stem cell research, just know that is not for us but for the elite anyway. Their life extension technology. They do worship Molech as it is hidden even on the dollar bill. Personally I think it's a sham how people clasp for cures when they should know they will never happen. Why cure anyway when the answer is in prevention. Look at the food and vaccines today. Just a scam to destroy the middle class and Sanford, Daugaard and many others are among the #'s of the elite scum. Listen to the talks at http://www.cuttingthroughthematrix.com to fully understand this control class and how they are eliminating us. Sioux Falls is definately a part of the New World Order.
