SD doctors say abortion ad full of lies, needs to be pulled off the air

Let's talk about lies, lying and liars. Check out the latest propaganda piece from UNHealthy Families. Nearly every word is false. Numerous doctors spoke with me yesterday saying if this wasn't so serious this ad would be laughable. I'm telling them to call the TV stations to complain. They are. Maybe a complaint to the SD Election's Board is the route to go. This is absurb. One of the docs dropped this comment here on Voices Carry yesterday;

Look at unhealthy families latest commercial implying that a physician can not treat a patient with diabetes, primary pulmonary hypertension, cancer or hypertension. This is an absolute falsehood. …IM11 does absolutely nothing to interfere with these illnesses. If you have questions please read the law. It is actually very easy to read. Unhealthy families seems to think that South Dakotans are too stupid to understand the law as implied by their own commercials. Just read it.

Here's one of the first sentences in the commercial…. "Under Initiated Measure 11 the government, not doctors, would decide if a woman needs an abortion to protect her health." They are hoping you don't read the measure because if you do you'll see this health of the mother exception.  It's exactly what the voters of SD wanted in 2006…

Section 4. Health of the Pregnant Woman Exception.  That chapter 22-17 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows: No person may be prosecuted under section 2 of this Act if a licensed physician has made a judgment that an abortion is necessary because there is a serious risk of a substantial and irreversible impairment of the functioning of a major bodily organ or system of the pregnant woman should the pregnancy be continued and which risk could be prevented through an abortion, unless in reaching that judgment the physician knowingly disregards accepted standards of medical practice.  The basis of that judgment shall be specifically identified and documented in the woman’s medical records.

It's time doctors all over SD call the TV stations running this crap to tell them to pull the ad off the air.

They take orders from the Father of Lies. Do you expect honesty from them?
