The event in Sioux Falls takes place April 15 between Noon-1:30 P.M. at Covell Lake at Terrace Park. Free lunch and entertainment. Hopefully someone in West River South Dakota will take the lead and get something planned for that half of our state.

Making more money out of nothing, borrowing billions more from nations like China (while Obama sends heavily armed American destroyers to the South China Sea for a standoff with China - a nation that could tank the dollar overnight), and shackling the next generation of American's with debt all so we can keep irresponsible banks and failing businesses afloat and fund socialism is grossly reckless and unethical.

Just last month it was the politics of fear with the President - pass the stimulus NOW, there's no time to even read it! if you don't there will be economic collapse in America!  Yet Obama canceled the dire emergency on Thursday as he announced the economic crisis isn't as bad as we thought - the fundamentals of our economy are strong. I stopped counting the number of people in our church who've told me they've lost over six digits in their investments in the past six months - 45% of the world's wealth has vanished in the past 18 months.

This is hardly scientific, but last night I passed out a home made survey to about 90 people in our church, mostly couples, and asked in dollar amounts how much has the economic downturn cost them. I told them to hand it right back in, be honest, and leave their names off. The total investment/retirement fund losses for what is perhaps a ten percent sampling of the households in our congregation was $1,137.000. I'd say it IS as bad as we thought - in fact, it's far far worse than we are being told and it won't get better taking water out of the one side of the pool and pouring it into the other side of the pool.

Just last month the one who sold America on the falsehood that he embodied "HOPE" knew exploiting fear was necessary to pass the spending bill - so he exploited the fear factor. Yet now, those who control him say the nation needs a "Confidence Builder in Chief" - so they are again downloading positive spin onto Obama's teleprompter… "economy fundamentally sound."  Maybe he thinks we are stupid and forgetful that he hammered McCain for saying that very thing a few months ago.

I can't wait for his new book to come out.  I heard it's called "How to Destroy a Country in 100 days or Less: the Inside Scoop on How I Scared the Country with X to in order to enact Y."  In case you are wondering, "Y" is godless socialism. I still hold out HOPE.
