Sen. Tom Coburn, Joel Dykstra speak to group of pastors

Just for the fun of it I invited 30 pastor friends of mine here in Sioux Falls to a breakfast I hosted this morning with South Dakota Senate candidate Joel Dykstra and Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn. We talked about everything from the bailout to the Bible. Did you know 71% of the Bible was written by civil rulers or is about government? I led off the morning with a crash course on the Bible and Human Government. Email me if you want a copy of those notes.
Sen. Coburn was co-sponsor of the Resolution of Apology to the Native Peoples bill we've been praying for and pushing for several years - he understands the spiritual realities and national ramifications of broken covenants and the shedding of judicially innocent blood. We learned Sen. Harry Reid is the hold up there in terms of keeping the bill from reaching the Senate floor. Shame on him.
Coburn was in town to lend his support to Joel Dykstra who is running against Senator Tim Johnson. Remember, in 2006, SD Senator Tim Johnson lent his voice and influence to those who were fighting to continue the shedding of innocent blood via abortion in South Dakota. Now he can't even debate. However, Joel Dysktra will use his voice and influence on behalf of the unborn. Dykstra told a bit about his daughter who was born with severe disabilities - the guy is a living testimony for the LIFE issue. Vote for Joel Dykstra.

This is a very interesting post that you submit here. I find it kind of amusing that Joel would again sit down with peers instead of out campaigning. With 19 days left with the election, and down some 18 points in his polls, he is sitting down with a group of people who are almost guaranteed to vote for him.
For the previous time, I'm writing about the SD Right to Life conference, held in Aberdeen. I found that this was a great way to spend some time with again, more people who will probably vote for you, just because you are Pro-Life. It is even more interesting that Mr. Dykstra supports VYFL and is making speeches at SDRTL which opposes IM11.
Questions arise, Why is SDRTL supporting Joel Dykstra? He supports killing babies that were made by rape and incest. I thought he was pro-life. And If he supports SDRTL then, He can't really support IM11?
I'm so confused

Mike - thanks for your comment and hopefully I can help sort out the confusion for you - I can sense you are truly struggling to understand. Is your middle paragraph addressed to me? I'm confused. I will say I don't speak for the campaign in anyway so many you should really ask them.
Each pastor represents and has weekly influence with hundreds of South Dakota voters. When each pastor tells their congregation this weekend that every member needs to use their in personal email lists to send out a good plug on behalf of candidates that represent their values the impact of this type of meeting is very notable. And therefore it's well worth Dykstra's 90 minutes of time. Rallying the base is a key part of winning and there were guys in the room not really motivated to do anything but now they are. Same story with an appearance at SDRTL. I would think his campaign views that as an effort to rally the base.
Really your comment is full of sarcasm and you are fortunate this early in the day because I have some patience enough to humor you. Larry Long also spoke at SDTRL and we know he doesn't agree with RTL either on IM11. I hope you will also contact SDTRL about their schizophrenic stances supporting candidates that support things they don't support.
