South Dakota State Senator oblivious to the primary role of Government

Turbak[1].jpgSouth Dakota State Senator Nancy Turbak Berry was uninvited to deliver the commencement address this past Saturday at Presentation College in Aberdeen. Officials at the school rescinded their invitation because Senator Turbak Berry's pro-abortion views are incompatible with the pro-life views of the Catholic Church. Senator Turbak Berry put an interesting spin on all this giving pro-life South Dakotans more insight into how the masters of diversion will try to shift our attention this fall off the actual issue at hand - the killing of inconvenient unborn human life. Senator Turbak Berry tried to tell us this is all about a disagreement about "the proper role of government."

“I was told I was not welcome to speak because I do not share the Catholic Church’s position on the proper role of government in decisions about reproduction,” Turbak Berry said. “While not an especially defining issue for me, I have always been candid about my view that government should have a limited role in what I consider to be very personal decisions.”

Many have wondered since 2006 what the masters of diversion will say to oppose the next bill that isn't "too extreme." Well, here is one of ten things on my list we can expect to see the oxymorons exploit… knowing they can't win unless they divert public attention away from what really happens in a Planned Parenthood clinic, we can expect them to try and capitalize on South Dakota's strong libertarian populace to sway good people who are against killing unborn children to think… "yes abortion is evil but to we really need more government involvement."

Our elected officials should know this - the primary role of Government is to protect human life.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..

Thomas Jefferson said, "The chief purpose of government is to protect life. Abandon that, and you have abandoned all."  While Senator Turbak Berry says "this is not a defining issue for [her]", too late… I say it absolutely is and will be. All other issues are secondary to the sacredness of life and the role of government in protecting the most vulnerable in society.

Berry may find the "Pearly Gates" uninviting her, too. Good job, PC, it is becoming increasingly popular to let the Pro-Abort Politicians and their bleating sheeple that Wholesome America is making a huge coming back, and you aren't invited in your "black hearted baby blood business" whatsoever! Ta-ta vampires, the sun is shining—right on ya!
