Urgency Tour - 12 South Dakota cities, 5 days, 300 pastors
We'll have all eternity to celebrate our victories, but only one short hour before sunset to win them. Robert Moffat, Scottish Missionary to Africa
30 days. Just a few Sundays left and the window of opportunity closes to collect signatures and get a bill on the ballot that prohibits abortion from being used as birth control. Legal experts are saying that because of our state’s history with this issue, no other state can do what we can do and that is, send a vehicle to the Supreme Court that smashes into Roe v. Wade once and for all. Really, our state has been given a sacred obligation. Those on the outside are saying “you are a national treasure, to squander it would be a travesty. "
Pastors and church leaders in South Dakota are stewards of THE key to ending abortion in our state. The other side doesn’t have congregations full of good people who know right from wrong. Planned Parenthood's only hope is our apathy. Time is short. Life is at stake. In the 2006 abortion ban battle, I traveled the state talking to many of you on a 12 city tour. My sense is I’m supposed to do it again, now. There are some things you need to hear and some things you need to know about what is happening right now and through November. We need to talk as pastors about the various aspects of this issue in relation to our role as ministers.

[…] I hit this state this week with my friend Matt Lockett for another 12 city tour of South Dakota. I'm calling it the Urgency Tour because we have 30 days left to get signatures to put an abortion bill on the November ballot that would prohibit abortion from being used as birth control. It's a big deal with huge national implications. You can find out more about the tour here. […]
