When "families" do decide, abortions down 31%, Planned Parenthood loses money

The Campaign for UNHealthy Families is trumpeting the slogan "Let Families Decide" to sway people who know abortion is wrong to vote "no" anyway on Measure 11 so we don't have more government involvement. Interesting approach from those who have never wanted family involvement in any form and who desperately need government funding - $335 million in taxpayer dollars fund Planned Parenthood every year. Really they want families out and government in. This is indisputable.

Here's why they fight every form of family involvement and parental notification… these laws result in fewer abortions and reduced PROFITS. Planned Parenthood is in the abortion business - it's not about what's best for women, the unborn, or families or society. This is strictly business, and it's blood money.A new study shows (pdf alert - The Effect of Parental Invovlement Laws on the Incidence of Abortion Among Minors) "when a state enacts a parental involvement law, the abortion rate falls by an average of approximately 13.6 percent." Furthermore, "laws that require parental consent instead of parental notification reduce the minor abortion rate by about 19 percent. …laws that mandate the involvement of two parents, instead of just one parent, reduce the in-state minor abortion rate by approximately 31 percent." Here's how this looks in our neighboring state…

Politicians can't vote against every conceivable bill that places limits on abortion and then turn around and expect thinking and reasonable people to believe them when they say they are for fewer abortions.

Indisputable. I. Love. It. The numbers don't lie.

By the way, everybody should send their donation in to Vote Yes For Life by next Thursday in order for it to be matched, up to $150,000. COME ON! Put your money where your mouth, or keyboard, is folks. I wish it weren't this way, but the sad fact is that defeating the enemy's lies takes $$$$ in this day and age. Thank God for people like Steve who will use his personal time and resources to stand up to Molech and Mammon.

Everybody do your part. This week $50 equals $100. Send your donation to VYFL 3500 S. Louise Sioux Falls, SD 57106, or go to their website at http://www.voteyesforlife.com and click donate to give with a card.

Oh, and to anybody who cares - I am unaffiliated with VYFL, in that I do not officially represent them and have never been employed by them. But I do LOVE THEM!

Speaking of families, I just got a postcard from Bill Thompson, running for reelection for a FOURTH term in the Statehouse from District 13. In addition to reminding us that he was a teacher for 29 years at Lincoln HS, I see he has now jumped on the Democrat's "I am a man of faith" bandwagon. His postcard boldly states he is a "Former moderator of his church" ummm…. whatever that means.

This is the same Bill Thompson who stated at a legislative coffee that he could not support restrictions on abortion because he would never "force" his daughter to carry an unwanted pregnancy. That's right, he would advocate the killing of his own grandchild if his daughter didn't want that baby. So you can forget the "man of faith" persona he is projecting on his postcard.

GET INFORMED VOTERS!

I received the same Bill Thompson flier. Laughable!!! He states he will work hard for "choice in personal health-care decisions". That translates to "choice in killing your child". He also states that accessibility for the disabled is a civil rights issue. Oh, thanks Bill. And the right to life is not? I cannot believe the people of my district keep putting this clown back in office. Praying that will change this year.

Come to think of it, all I can recall Bill Thompson doing for District 13 is speaking on the House floor about his daughter's menstrual cycle. He was concerned that a bill prohibiting public schools from handing out contraceptives to students without their parents knowledge would interfere with him being able to deliver birth-control pills to his daughter on the school parking lot. Unbelievable!!!
